Construction Impacts Update

Sep 17, 2015 | Construction Impacts

As construction on the South Street Landing project continues, we will provide periodic updates to our neighbors and project stakeholders on current activity.

In addition to architectural and engineering work, the majority of current work is focused on the interior of the former South Street power station and involves brick cleaning and demolition work. The permitting process for the parking garage also continues to advance at a brisk pace.

There are no current neighborhood impacts to report with respect to traffic, noise or parking.  When construction activity does affect traffic and parking, or creates noise, you’ll receive a timely notification via email, Facebook, and Twitter. These notifications will also be posted on the website. You can sign up for any of these notification channels by clicking the buttons above – then Follow us on Twitter, Like us on Facebook or click the “Get Updates” button on the South Street Landing website home page to sign up for email notification.

As we move into the fall, you’ll see ever more visible signs of construction activity. In late fall and early winter, a temporary roof and temporary window coverings will be installed on the former power station to enable full scale construction to continue uninterrupted throughout the winter.

If you have any questions about the project, or the impact of construction on the neighborhood, please don’t hesitate to ask. We’ll continue to share updates on a regular basis.

Thanks again for your interest in the exciting South Street Landing project!
