Construction Impacts Update

Oct 9, 2015 | Construction Impacts

Greetings,

We are continuing to provide periodic updates to our neighbors and project stakeholders on construction activity at the South Street Landing project.

There is currently extensive work underway inside the former South Street power station and on the exterior of the building.

In the coming week and beyond, some of the work will generate noise that will be audible in nearby buildings. This work includes abrasive blasting of brick and steel, the cutting of existing concrete slabs and the use of an industrial jack hammer to break up concrete inside the former power plant. You will also continue to hear beeping from motorized equipment, such as lifts and cranes. This beeping is an OSHA-required safety measure to protect workers on the site.

As we move closer to construction of the parking garage, some traffic impacts on Eddy Street may result.

We will continue to keep our neighbors informed of any impacts, along with progress updates. When construction activity does affect traffic and parking, or creates noise, this information will be posted on the Southstreetlanding.com website. Updates will also continue to be provided via email, Facebook, and Twitter.

If you haven’t already done so, we encourage you can sign up for any of these notification channels by clicking on the buttons above to Follow us on Twitter, Like us on Facebook or “Get Updates” via email notification.
