Current Construction Activity to Have Little Additional Impact on Neighbors Beyond South Street Closure
Following the recent financial closing that provided full funding for all components of the South Street Landing project, construction activity has picked up since the pre-construction mobilization work that took place in late May. That work involved closing South Street from Eddy Street to the Providence River and securing the property with more perimeter fencing.
Current work is largely taking place inside the former South Street power station. In the coming weeks, construction of the parking garage will commence and work on the former power station will intensify.
